We built that!

I had no intention of blogging about this today so I am saving today’s post for tomorrow.

In the past few weeks I have felt very confused about fulfilling my civic duty.  Not sure whether voting for the lesser of two evils is the right thing to do or not.  Today I awoke with the inspiration to go out and weather the lines and vote.  I have been teaching the kids about the process and so voting seemed the right thing to do.

To my surprise, there was no line at all.  I had prepared for a long wait with a baby in the moby wrap by bringing some knitting with me but there was no need.  I was in and out in under 10 minutes, another reason I love living rural.

I have been knitting this cowl while watching the polls and everytime I look at it I think it will remind me of this election.  I found the yarn at Tuesday morning and it is a super soft, artisan made and signed! Peruvian wool yarn.  I confess to breaking my resolution to use only my stash I am sad to say since I almost made it one whole year!

Tonight we will be popping lots of popcorn and using this printout to follow along with this Electoral map printout which will hopefully finish off our study of the voting process unless there is some snafoo and we do not have a president for a while.

I will be back here with a yarny project tomorrow and will also be doing my Stash Bash on Thursday if anyone wants to join in.  I am finally feeling like I can get on and share our little life.  I hope you will all check in on me often.
