Stash Bash

I’ve never met a crafter without a stash of some kind. This year my goal is to use up all the craft supplies I have spent money on that are taking up mental and physical space in my life.  Join me here every Thursday for a Stash Bash.

Ok, so I should start out today with a confession and if you read my post from yesterday then you already probably caught me.  Last week, in a moment of weakness I broke my pact and bought yarn.  I didn’t plan it…I mean I have almost made it to a whole year of not buying any more craft stuff before using up my stash.  I did not know I was in danger until it was too late.  During the whole wedding day blur, I lost my hair iron.  I looked and looked for it and it seems to have disappeared into thin air so I went to Tuesday Morning knowing that they might have a half way decent one that I would not go broke buying.

Did you know that Tuesday Morning sells some pretty nice knitting books, supplies and of course yarn.  Before I knew it I had two skeins in my hand.  It was too hard to pass up.  Wool, silk yarn spun in Italy and died in Chile well, thats alot of mileage but I digress.  It just needed to come home with me.  Come on, fess up, you would have done it too.  I am already working it up into a Christmas present for a very special woman that I love but I will not add it here since it is not a stash project.

Today I am sharing this little Felipe vest.  The pattern is free on Rav and super easy to make.  I only need to block it but have actually loved looking at the vest unblocked as it reminds me of a little bubble shirt.
I started this one the day I was in labor and pretty much finished it that day, its such a quick and cute project.  Everytime I look at it, I am reminded of that beautiful day in September where we all huddled together here to bring this new little boy into our family.

So what have you been up to? I love to see what you come up with. I have added the Mr Linky to the bottom of this post for you to link up your Stash Bash projects.

Here’s what to do. There are no rules.
Just use what you have and try to not buy new supplies, unless you need it to complete a project that you are making from stuff you already have in your stash.
