On Monday, Poppa is taking me to Kentucky for 5 days. While he works, I will have lots of free time and need some suggestions from anyone who is familiar with the Louisville area. Matthew and I will be loose in Louisville on our own. If there is anywhere that you think this yarn, antique, fabric etc loving momma should go and see please leave me a comment 🙂 Thank you!
So a trip with my little Matthew on our own necessitated a cute little hat, for him not me 🙂 This little earflap hat used to be my go to for friends who were having a baby. It is one of those patterns that I thought I would sell in my store (which I closed a few years ago) and then it just stayed in my very big book of patterns. It is a nothing special pattern which has been done a zillion times over by now but still a favorite. I also never made it for any of my own babies so…. I finally made one for my little guy. This ear flap hat would fit a 2 or even 4 year old but I like my babies hats to be loose and soft. So nice to put a hat on him that he doesn’t rip off, maybe its the braids?
Joining Ginny again this week. Please don’t forget to enter my Cuppow giveaway. You have until Thursday night midnight to enter when I will pick two lucky winners to each receive a regular size and wide mouth Cuppow mason jar drinking lid.
Love the color combinations on your hat! I'd also love to try out the pattern if it's available. Your son is so cute! Is that blanket he's sitting on your make too?
He is SO adorable! I like the hat, too, but those eyes are just amazing…
That is one gorgeous baby!
Very sweet hat. Gorgeous model.
Enjoy your break.
That last picture is photo contest worthy!!!! Love it! The hat is great, too. 😉
thank you Courtney!
Very cute. Have a great time. I think babies need hats too, even in the summer, or maybe especially in the summer.
Also would like pattern.
He is adorable!
Ditto … all of the above posts. 🙂
What a cute hat for an INCREDIBLY cute little guy! I love it!
Can you share with us the pattern for your cute, crocheted hat?
He is adorable! What a smile!!!!!! I just drove through Kentucky…I didn't stop at any yarn stores, but I did visit the National Park that has Abraham Lincoln's birthplace and childhood home…it's free…you can walk some paths (we did not)..the site is actually two separate places about 10 miles apart (we did not visit the museum)…it's a quick visit and free, if you enjoy historical things….
Yes! thank you. I will look into that one
Goodness…what a happy little cutie- the hat is adorable!
Oh my gracious, that baby! that hat! that patchwork quilt! Such lovely eye candy this morning.
Too cute. Really! Especially that last picture. 🙂
That hat is adorable!! Have a great time in Louisville. I have never been – so I won't be much help!
Cute! I love the colors of the hat!
Oh my goodness! Matthew is just such a cutie pie! And those LEGS! I'm a sucker for baby legs (I've enjoyed my five babies' legs immensely) all chubby and squishy! I'm also loving your quilt…such pretty colors!
