Her wedding day

These pictures are so overdue.  I have not yet received the CD from the photographer and had a heck of a time figuring out how to post the edited pictures.  Looking at them, I hope you will feel as though you were there with us because many of you were there in my heart.  I thank you for your emails and words of encouragement throughout this last summer and fall.  I really needed to hear what many of you said to me and it has gotten me through this huge change in my life.
This day was so bittersweet as I guess every wedding day is for every mother who has had to let their baby go on and start a new life.  This wedding was a labor or love for my family and all of the friends who came out to help us prepare and set up.  We could not have done any of this without their help and I am happy to share our day with you.

Alex and her beautiful new mother.  We are so very blessed to have amazing in-laws.  We couldn’t ask for our daughter to marry a better man and from a family we love so much.

you know, people will always tell mothers how hard it will be to raise children but this day was the hardest part for me.

and now it’s time to be a big girl and be happy for my daughter

Many many thanks to the Shaver Family, friends and family for helping out at our farm the entire week of the wedding.  To our parents who really helped us to make our daughters dream day come true and to everyone who has prayed for us, held us up when we were falling, cry and laughed with out family.  We love you all.

These are so lovely! I love everything about it: the modest, beautiful bride, the big families, the homey feel of the reception, the gorgeous church, the Sisters providing the music, the tiniest baby brother… what a wonderful day. Thanks for sharing the photos!

What beautiful photos! They are look so vibrant and happy together. I was 19 on my wedding day and my husband was 23, and that was just four years ago. It's wonderful to get married so young. Your photos brought back happy memories. I'm happy for Alex that she was blessed with such a wonderful family for in-laws. That is not something to be taken lightly. And, well, Lewis got a pretty awesome deal, too. 🙂 Thank you so much for sharing these intimate photos with us! May God bless the newlyweds. Emily

Goodness, where to begin? Your daughter, her GOWN!! just gorgeous, classy…respectful. I love your church too – are you always required to cover your heads? You don't see too much of that wonderful Catholic tradition anymore, it almost made me cry. You looked lovely, despite it being such a bitterweet day for you as a mama. Thank you, Tricia for sharing your life, and this auspicious day for your family. I read a few blogs, but don't enjoy any as much as yours. What a blessed life:-)

Yes, we are required to cover our heads whenever we are inside the church : ) Thank you so very much for your kind words!! I loved her gown too. She found a designer which keeps their old patterns so they can make the top anyway you like by mixing and matching to make a custom gown. She wanted to be modest but stylish too and they did not disapoint.

beautiful sacramental wedding and celebration! i shared this post with all my kids. sadly, it's not often that we see such a beautiful, simple, modest, and traditional celebration. DEO GRATIAS!rose (my 17 yo) loved her wedding gown. she said it's exactly what she would want. it's a perfect example of femininity – fashionable and modest. my kids enjoy seeing your beautiful children. papi (my 5 yo) can't get enough of baby matthew.pax, lena
