Pinterest Pin-along

IMG_1816 IMG_1817 IMG_1820So sorry to get this post up so late today.  I am currently at the library due to a bad snow storm last night taking out our internet.  I called our internet provider and they could not fix it over the phone…again.  It seems anytime we have a bad snow storm, I can almost expect to be without internet.  Knowing that someone out there might be looking forward to this post, I somehow got down our road (very icy and slippery) and once I was on the main road it was a breeze to get here.  It is very quiet and warm in this library so maybe it would not be a bad place to come once in a while 🙂

Yesterday we had such a great time celebrating Saint Valentines day.  I will share that tomorrow but today’s Pinterest inspired project is Valentine related.  I never know what to make for Poppa, he is a sports guy and I just don’t get inspired to make sports things.  I saw this pin and just loved it right away.  I secretly worked on it a few nights this week once Poppa had gone to bed.  He loved it.

I love how sweet it makes our bed feel 🙂  The pillowcases were aquired at a thrift store for .50 a piece…woot!  They looked brand new and after a washing and iron all they needed was a saying.  I picked a font that I liked and then printed it off at the size I wanted the words to be on the pillowcase.  I put the paper inside the pillowcase and just traced the words with a pencil.  Then put the pillowcase on an embroidery hoop and got to stitching.  They are now my very favorite thing in our room.

So what did you make this week?  I can’t wait to see it.  Please post a link to the pin that inspired you in your post 🙂
