Stash Bash

I’ve never met a crafter without a stash of some kind. This year my goal is to use up all the craft supplies I have spent money on that are taking up mental and physical space in my life.  Join me here every Thursday for a Stash Bash.

I really overdid it yesterday with all my last minute baby projects and ended up in bed with my first case of swollen feet and a couple dozen contractions.  That surge of energy known as nesting has finally kicked in…I think.  I spent yesterday painting furniture I have revamped from other parts of the house, we put together the crib and slid it into place and lots of sewing, knitting and a small amount of painting on canvas for the nursery.

As promised I am sharing my very inperfect crib quilt which has now been washed and has gotten a chance to quilt up.  I love that is cost nothing to make this quilt.  The fabrics are all stash fabrics along with some fabric from Poppa’s shirts that I had saved for a project someday.  The batting is left over from a quilt I made my now 8 year old when I was pregnant with him.  It is cotton and sooo soft.  I also made a bunting to hang over the crib and hope to have the nursery done by tomorrow to share it with you on Friday.  Excuse the terrible pictures.  I didn’t get the crib in place and the bunting up until late last night.  The sun comes up on the front of my house and sets on the back and the nursery is on the back side so the lighting in the morning is not great.

I am also preparing for Alex’s bridal shower here on Saturday night (photos coming soon) which is also keeping me busy busy so I should get back to work.

I do want to thank all of you who have written to me this week and last with your words of encouragement and prayers.  You will never know how much they mean to me and how the lift me up and push me forward.

So what have you been up to? I love to see what you come up with. I have added the Mr Linky to the bottom of this post for you to link up your Stash Bash projects.

Here’s what to do. There are no rules.
Just use what you have and try to not buy new supplies, unless you need it to complete a project that you are making from stuff you already have in your stash.
Take a picture of your project or progress and blog about it or post a picture to flickr.
Then come back here on Thursdays and post a link to your post.
Don’t forget to link back to the Stash Bash so others can find us and get encouraged too.
Fair enough?

P.S.  Its so nice to hear from other stash bashers so if you visit some of the links don’t forget to leave them a quick little comment.
