Blogiversary Blogger Guest- Tracy of A Slice of Smith Life and Saint Joseph table tutorial

Day four of year three

Thank you so much everyone for celebrating with me.  This has been the funnest (its a word if it has letters in it) week on my blog ever.  Please accept my apologies for getting this post up so late.  We have been without internet or power for a good part of the day.  On the news there was a water tower which collapsed and took out the power to millions, an RV was picked up and slammed down on someone’s house and in my town alone 5 tornados touched down.  Anyhoo…Thanks for sticking around.

Today’s blogiversary guest is Tracy from A Slice of Smith Life.  I met her here actually because she was the winner of my lego rosary giveaway.  She is a wonderful Catholic mom and has a really cute blog.  Today she is sharing with us how to make a Saint Joseph’s altar and some really wonderful breads right here.

From Tracy’s blog: It is a tradition to prepare a St. Joseph altar in a home where the decorative breads, food, and desserts are placed.  The altar has 3 levels to symbolize the Blessed Trinity-the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

this looks like so much fun… we will definitely be trying this next year.

So now that you’ve seen what she can do, meet Tracy through some Q&A:

My favorite blogs are: There are so many great blogs, it’s hard to narrow down to just a few of my favorites!
I love reading blogs about Catholic and non-Catholic homeschooling families, blogs that  inspire and share their walk with Christ, and book review blogs, although I rarely have time to sit down and read for leisure 🙁
I’m especially thrilled to co-host No Ordinary Blog Hop (NOBH) www.noordinarybloghop.blogspot.com with 2 very special bloggers, Lynda at My Heart’s Desire http://lynishiskid.blogspot.com/ , and Anna-Marie at Life’s Adventures http://lifesadventures-amb.blogspot.com/
My favorite color is: seafoam/celery green
My first job was:  Chick-Fil-A in high school at our local mall
My favorite guilty pleasure is: getting lost in blog land
The best advice I ever received is:
“Preach the Gospel at all times and when necessary use words.” St. Francis of Assisi
“If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for everything.” F. Jeff Stiles

I am inspired by:   “by God’s word, my faith (especially reading about the lives of the saints with my children), my family and friends.”

If I have an afternoon off I like to: Is there such a thing as an “off” day for a homeschool mom?  🙂  If a did get a free afternoon, I would spend it with my family riding bikes or go to the beach and no cooking or cleaning!
Think quick, if there was a fire and you could only grab three things (not people) what would they be: my Bible, a rosary, and my wedding album/photo albums/scrapbooks.  Oops! That’s more than 3 things !
Thank you Tracy for helping me to celebrate my blogiversary!
