fun in the sun…

so if you have been wondering why I have been so spotty with my posts, I’ll tell you.  I have had 3 different sets of house guests in 2 weeks.  If you missed it, that was 3 sets of friends who have fallen in our laps in less than 2 weeks time.  The good part about visitors is that it gives you a chance to be a tourist in your own town.

We have been to the market, driving around town, visiting historic areas of our little hometown and today to the beach.  We really have no excuse to not go more often since the ocean is only about 15 minutes from our house.  We promise to return with much more regularity.  My kids have been in the pool and now the beach so much in the last two weeks that they barely resemble my children.  I know when I go to the store with all of them people probably think I must be the nanny or something.  I keep thinking they can’t possibly get any darker but somehow they do.

we love this side of the island, the water is so shallow.  You have to walk out quite a ways to get up to your waist.  The kids found so many hermit crabs, sea snails and blue crabs everywhere.  They caught them and released them before it was time to go home.

there were dolphin out in the water and we saw a few horse shoe crabs

I must warn you:  If you decide to look at the rest of these photos I am not responsible for anyone wanting one of their own.

LOL I have the same problem when my children get dark in the sun! They bear little resemblance to their so-pale-it's-scary momma!
