Worked on some dresses for the girls and I but did not complete any in time for our trip
Gave into a craving for rum cake and made some buttery rum glaze to pour over the top
Picked the last of the blueberries
Made cahn frittahs (corn fritters)
Canned up lots of watermelon rind pickles
The kids found a little friend eating plants in the garden, he is a gopher turtle which is a protected species here in Florida.
Filled another craving for thai food by making a raw pad thai from this recipe. I modified the recipe lots but it was a great starting point and she has a lovely blog.
Packed, packed and packed for our trip
Drove 5 hours to our vacation destination
Am learning to be a beach bum… if anyone needs me I am parked under a palm tree on Miami Beach.
