I’ve never met a crafter without a stash of some kind. This year my goal is to use up all the craft supplies I have spent money on that are taking up mental and physical space in my life. Join me here every Thursday for a Stash Bash.
Oh boy, I can’t believe its Thursday already. I am in the process of catching up with life since we got back from our trip to Miami Beach. I am still trying to finish up all the laundry from our trip, all the pillows, sleeping bags, towels, clothing…ugh.
On a good note, I have been in the sewing room/playroom revamping and undoing the huge mess that Poppa made while he was here during his loss of job. Basically he decluttered alot of the house by putting everything in my sewing room and I have been unable to even get to my sewing machine since then. I hope to have a beautiful new space by weeks end. I have to remember to take it slow because yesterday we were in there for most of the day and my body hurt pretty bad last night. A hot lavender shower followed by some crab cakes made it all better : )
This week my stash bash has basically been getting rid of everything in my stash that I don’t absolutely love. This is really hard for me because I am a hoarder when it comes to yarn, fabric, patterns, buttons, trim, etc. My lofty goal was to get rid of half of my yarn and after going through all my bins, I only came up with one garbage bag and that was HARD! I am now down to 2 big yarn bins, one for cotton yarns and one for wool. I also have bags of project around everywhere but at least those balls of yarn are already spoken for.
Of course the girls want to keep everything I want to let go of because….they are just like me.

Just the very tip of the button ice berg. Don’t you just love buttons, I can never have too many.
In the process of going through all the school , kids and craft books. I lost a bookshelf which came apart while we were moving it but I am thinking of ways to reuse the parts that we saved to make some kind of new shelf for books.
