It’s been such a long time since I have hosted a giveaway and now that we are all moved in, snug and cozy, it’s time. Wouldn’t you agree?
I was contacted a few months ago by Peepods on doing a giveaway and review of these momma pads. I have used my own homemade ones for years so it was exciting to receive real professionally made ones to try. Well, best intentions you know, my cycle took 10 months to return after having Matthew. You can’t really do a review of something you haven’t tried and I wanted to be able to say if I really liked them or not.
First of all, they arrived super fast. I mean like 5 days after I said yes and packaged in a very cute box. I chose a cranberry set and the fabrics looked even better than in the picture. They came with a small PlanetWise wetbag and every detail was perfect. Then they sat and sat and sat in my medicine cabinet waiting for the day I would need them. Well, as luck would have it, that time came while I was traveling home to see my parents. Of course!
I have to say that I was a bit worried because they seem very thin compared to my own homemade version. I decided to stay put the first time I used them and stayed close to my parents house. Well, they work extremely well, better than well. The snap kept everything in its place and after a while I forgot that I was nervous or that I was even wearing anything. Not. Kidding.
If you have ever wanted to try cloth (and if you are like me and so many others, you may not want to go back to disposables) here is your chance. Peepods is giving away a set to one lucky winner and a discount to any of you who wants to place an order. If you need an incentive to support a company who offers a great, environmentally friendly product then here it is, they have a Pod for Pod promise. For every set of pads they sell, they also donate a set to the women of Ethiopia. Here is a video explaining more about the company. Sorry, I haven’t figured out how to display videos yet 🙂
To enter just leave a comment. For more chances to win share this on Facebook, Tweet it, share it on your own blog and then come back and tell me how you shared it, you get an entry for each one that you do. Good luck and the giveaway ends next Friday.
The lucky winner will be announced right here in this post on Friday morning.
Edit: As one reader pointed out, I forgot to add the code for the 10% discount that Peepods is offering to Farmish Momma readers. The discount code is MYPEEPODS.
8/9/2013 And this weeks winner is: Cheryl at Old Path: I would love an opportunity to win thanks for the contest! Cheryl, please contact me at farmishmomma@gmail.com

I think every woman should at least try mama cloth and see for themselves! What a difference and so much more comfortable. Thank you for hosting the give away! I'm also going to link this page to my Facebook to get the word out 🙂
What a fantastic giveaway! I'd love to give these a try!
Oooohhhhh I would love to try these! I have a diva cup that doesn't cut it on the first day (my heaviest) I usually have to stay home that day, boo. Now as the children are older (6and4) staying home isn't always an option, so I thought…what would gramma do? I went to the linen drawer and pulled out my thickest washcloth and well ya know the rest. I would love to have a real set. Nice pretty things make me happy. Thank you for hosting a giveaway.
Love using cloth, would be nice to add to my collection.
These are so pretty! I would love to win!
I would love to be entered. I share this on Facebook, Twitter, and on my blog. thank you.
How delightful. I've used cut up old worn toweling and such, but these look much more comfortable!
That's a great giveaway! Please consider me entered. Also, Tricia, you mentioned a discount from the company…did I miss a discount code somewhere? Thanks so much!

Never tried those either! But, since I am from Brazil, can I participate in this giveaway?

I would love to have these for my daughter!
These look really nice! I tried cloth once before, briefly. But now that I have a little one in cloth diapers, I'd love to give it another shot.

So excited! These are awesome. I have a few from Etsy and they are wonderful, I would love to have more. Thanks for hosting this great give away!
I've only just considered using the non-disposable type. I didn't even realize they were available commercially. Sure seems like a great option, especially if they're more reliable than the disposables!

I have 5 daughters all to young to try these but I want to get used to them before my girls have any need of them.
Saw this on Cath swap, how wonderful! I’ve thought about trying cloth but just recently been researching and hadn’t had anyone that could personally give a review. I’m glad I came across this!

Would love to try these! My soon-to-be 12-year-old daughter and I are both awaiting our "monthly friend." She's waiting for her first time and me for my postpartum (my baby boy is eight months old). (I enjoy seeing pics of your little guy.)
I would love a chance to try these too!
Wow, what a great company! I would love to try them out.
Trisha they look lovely! Even though I’ve just given birth three days ago and I’m using these thick pads to soak up my momma afterbirth I’d love to try these lush prints and colors. Unlike you my cycles return after two months not ten!

I would love to try this option and move away from disposables.
I've wanted to try something like this, but always a little hesitant that it just wouldn't work the greatest. Would love to try them – ok, honestly, they are feminine hygiene products, so I don't think LOVE is the right word, but you know what I mean.
hahaha! yes Traci, I know what you mean!
I would like to enter! These are so cute!
Ohhh! I have used my own homemade ones, but they are SUPER bulky. I would love to try these.

Always love a giveaway!
and I shared it on my facebook page.
I've been wanting to try them, but was afraid and didn't want to shell out the big initial investment… This would be a nice way to try them. Consider me entered.
I've contemplated making these before but have yet to make the leap. This might just be the push I need to give this a try. Of course it will probably be a few more months before I can try them out. Still nursing full time here.
Oh! I've been wanting to try these, especially as my daughter gets older. I have a hard time finding them over here, and then they aren't affordable. I'm glad to hear that these worked for you.
Those are beautiful! I would LOVE an opportunity to try their products! I currently use another brand but am always open to trying new things.
Linked your post to my facebook page. Plan to go check out the website and link that too.
Thank you so much! I have material and a pattern to make my own but haven't tried it yet. I would love to try these out. I will go check out there site and please considered me entered!
