moving day

Tomorrow is the big day.  Don’t worry, we aren’t leaving the farm but we are leaving Blogger behind for greener pastures.  I am not sure what to expect tomorrow but I can tell you to expect a new name, a new hosting site and hopefully a better visiting experience.

We like to make sure our homestead is neat and tidy when visitors come over.  You know, no dirty finger prints on the windows, no splatters on the stove and a nicely swept porch but tomorrow there may be a mess around here and I hope you will wait around while we get back to normal.

For those of you who do not like change, I am sorry 🙁  but I have had so many problems with this blog in the last year (such as not allowing me to upload all the pictures I intended for this post) and it hurts me to receive so many emails from some of you letting me know that my blog crashes or you cannot leave me a comment so…. no more!  You deserve better and so do I!

Think of it as we are moving out of a termite ridden, leaky roof, no curb appeal house to a home where we can stretch out and get comfy.  Won’t you come along with me?  I do this for you.  No panicking, this blog will always redirect you to my new home and if you click on any old links you might have saved or find on Pinterest, it will also take you to our new abode.  So, please be patient while I unpack and get all the furniture moved to just the right spot.

Right now, I am feeling quite nervous about the whole thing but tomorrow will hopefully go off without a hitch since I have hired someone to do the migration to WordPress (oh, you didn’t think I could do this by myself did you?).

Oh and the name…. is that what you were waiting for?  I guess I shouldn’t make you wait any longer.  After much thinking and then my sweet babies buying me the domain name for Mother’s day, my new name will be Farmishmomma.com.  I am still as Catholic as I have ever been but we felt that this name was a good fit and I hope you will think so too.

See you at the new homestead, no need to bring any baked goods or welcome home gifts 😉

If you enjoyed this post, please consider leaving a comment or follow me by email at the top right hand of the screen to have future posts sent to you. Tricia (Crunchy Catholic Momma)

I LOVE your blog!!!!! My favorite post definitely being your Stash Bash Challenge. I've spent most of my summer doing the same thing and have knocked out six major projects! Of course I recently added about five back to the list, but you've inspired me to persevere!

I'm so glad to hear you've moved! I haven't had any problems with blogger on my end, but I know you have. I too haven't been able to comment on your posts, and there have been so many times that i've wanted to.
If I ever run into the same problems on blogger, I'll be totally lost as to how to move. I might have to hit you up for some pointers….were you able to import your entire old blog? Or did you have to leave some of it behind?
Good luck in your new space! I'll be around more often 🙂

I haven't noticed anything missing yet but I am up to my armpits in projects today so I have not had time to do much in this space today. So happy that you will be around here more often.
