I am so super excited to share my project with you this week. For the past year, everytime I see someone complete a pair of socks I thought to myself how I would love to be able to make some too but it looked soooo hard that I did not dare even attempt it. After making the mittens last week for my little bun in the oven, I decided to just try it.
The one thing I have noticed this week, other than the fact that I am walking pretty slow, can’t really bend down and get back up without help and don’t really want to leave home very much, is that Livie has been sticking pretty close to me lately. She wants to hug and kiss me all the time and just stays a lot closer than usual. Can she sense that a new baby is coming soon? I am enjoying all this extra love from her and realize that she will only be the baby for a few more weeks (I am hoping for at least 3 more weeks) and I hope that I can find a way to give her as much love as I always have. OK, gotta go because writing this is making me teary.
I am off to see what you other amazing momma’s have come up with over that the Yarn Along.

I'm glad that you're taking it easy and listening to your body! It sounds like you have very sweet and attentive children, they must have been raised by a wonderful mama;)p.s I tried several times last week to comment but for some reason it wouldn't let me. Phoohey.
I think I made those exact same socks as my first pair too and I LOVED the way it made me feel to finish them! Amazing! I love the color too.
Those little socks are so cute! You did great. I've never tried socks before, so I can imagine that you do feel like a super hero. 🙂 Your baby bump looks so sweet by the way. It's so much fun having a baby to knit for!
Hello Tricia, Congrats on making your first pair of socks! So exciting! They turned out so sweet. Love, TarynP.S. Thanks for visiting my blog! 🙂
Oh, Tricia!! What a perfect perfect way to learn how to do socks!!! They are adorable—and look beautiful (just like your new little one will look—oh, so, soon!) Off to take care of my sniffly nose….sweet post!!!
Mine are not yet finished, they look so sweet, perhaps I should have started with baby socks too!

Kate, I'm sending you some sock making vibes!!!
Congrats on your superhero status! The socks are adarable. I keep thinking about making a second attempt on a first pair of socks… I'll get to it one of these days 😉
I just knit my first pair of socks this week too! Actually, make that one sock and a third of the leg on the second sock 😉 It is a wonderful feeling and I will need to document mine too. I've been enjoying your blog for a little while…prayers for the new baby and wedding coming up.
Tipped for both of us!!! Thank you for the prayers
darned auto spell check! hee hee that was supposed to say Yippee for both of us not tipped
Great job on the socks! Yay for you for giving it a try! One thing I always remember and tell my little ones when a new baby comes along is that a mama's heart always has room for more – God just makes it grow bigger. 🙂
Thank you! That was beautiful and so true
Oh, it makes me teary just reading it! My "baby" starts school next week, only three weeks before my due date. I'm such a jumble of emotions about it all. Suddenly she seems so grown up.
You have been on my mind this week! We are almost there!! Heres to our last month
