Handmade Christmas Craft Along Week 3

Another week has gone by and a few more gifts are started but not yet finished.  This last week was so hectic with Halloween costumes to make followed by All Saints Day costumes, phew!  I am pretty happy with everything they came out but also glad it is over.

Alright so here is the question.  Is there any interest from anyone in crafting along with me on Christmas presents?  I have done the handmade challenge for the last two Christmas and had such a great response and then I added on the craft along this year and nothing : (  I tell myself, well maybe no one else has started presents yet but if you have please feel very welcome to link to what ever you might be working on whether it be on your blog or a flickr picture.  It does not even have to be a current post, OK now that sounded kind of desperate don’t ya think : )  Seriously, even if you don’t blog, please do leave a comment with what you are working on.  We can all use some inspiration.

My list seems to somehow be getting bigger? Does this happen to anyone else?  I really don’t mind though, I just want to get them all done with as little stress as possible.  Here are my picks for this week, I hope you like them.

this one is so easy and I am thinking of adding in some flowers, leaves or herbs in the wax.  Here is the tutorial

I can’t believe I had not thought of this, can you?  These men’s shirt apron is perfect for the basket of Poppa’s shirts that I have collected.  There is no tutorial but I think they are easy enough to figure out.

For the new mom of baby on your list, some easy peasy burp cloths

This will be in my babies gift satchel and here is how you can make one too

This apron is great for any gal on your list and a great hostess gift.  Here is the tute

I don’t post enough mens gifts though I am trying to get enough ideas to make one of the weeks just for guys.  If you knit, how nice would it be to give these loafers?  Here is the free pattern!!  Yippee.

Ok, well thats all for now.  If you have a project you want to link for others to see just put the url of the photo or blog post in the Mr Linky List under this post.

If you enjoyed this post, please consider leaving a comment or follow me by email at the top right hand of the screen to have future posts sent to you. Tricia (Crunchy Catholic Momma)

You know I read every post! I don't comment, but I am always inspired. Do you have a traffic counter gadget? No one ever comments on my blog either, but I know people are reading it because my subscribers list keeps growing, and my traffic feed tells me which articles catch people's interest. Everyone loves a tutorial! (-:

What great ideas! Very industrious! My siblings and I always do handmade Christmas gifts, but this year is our first joining in the handmade holidays. We can share what we're making each other, but we are sharing ideas for crafts, decorations and inspiration from our Christmases past. Last week, the kids and I shared how to make a simple, fun stocking stuffer for boys or girls. This week we're doing a family favorite: "Woodle Making" We'll see how that goes! :)Fab. blog! I'll be around! :)Maryhttp://lundkids.blogspot.com

What great gift ideas!!! I ADORE the apron made from button-down shirts!!! Gotta make some of them!!! I am doing some crafting for Christmas, but we only buy for the four of us, and one family gift, which is a painting from Mike, my hubby. That's covered, just got to do the others. Thanks for sharing great ideas!

Such wonderful ideas and enjoyed the links as well. Thanks for sharing. Some of my crafting must remain a secret due to the folk who read my blog. I loved all the items you shared.

I love the waist aprons. I am thinking about using some pretty dish towels to make something similar for some kids…Those candle holders would make a fantastic advent wreath, wouldn't they?

I am crafting for Christmas, don't worry, your link part is a great idea and the suggestions are interesting. My Grandmother just passed away and have not really gotten any crafting done. I did help my cousin make her daughter's costume while we were out west. I will link to an older post with two presents in it and hope to be back in the groove for next week. My list grows as I go too.

That candle is so neat! Loving the Mens shirts aprons too. I hope you keep on posting the Christmas crsft Along I'm really enjoying it. The ideas you have been posting are wonderful! Not sure how much I will personally be able to make this year as I'm feeling a bit sick right now but I hope to buy mostly handmade items or used items. It's a bit hard for my son though so I can't take the full pledge.

What a great way to repurpose men's shirts….I can't believe I didn't think of that one before.I really REALLY want to craft along with you. I just have so many "house projects" and other stuff I can't get myself in gear. However, I just made something (very simple) and I will post about it tomorrow.
