Mr Moustache Muggie- Mug cozy

Just a quick note to show you something I made a while ago and forgot it in the back of one of our kitchen cabinets.  I found it today and my husband LOVED it so I thought I would share with all of you.

It can be hard to find handmade things for the guys in our lives.  This one I think is a sure thing.  What do you all think?

A Waldorf doll for the birthday girl

As promised yesterday, here is my first Waldorf doll just in time for Olivia’s birthday.  Here is my tutorial so you don’t have to search for it.

I wish all my readers could feel and carry this baby.  Words cannot explain how sweet, soft, comforting and cuddly this baby doll is.  The wool really absorbs body heat and is so soothing.  Before I stuffed her, I scented it with lavender and chamomile essential oils. She is so perfect to play or take a nap with.

I made her a wool felt diaper with velcro tabs so they can come off and on.
Her hair came out a bit fuller than I wanted but the kids love it because the real Olivia has a head FULL of hair.  I added a sweet little bow to keep it manageable.
My little pixie blowing out her candle.  She got a cupcake because the cake will be saved for her birthday party.
and she loved her doll.  What relief after so much work.  It was totally worth it though and I am ready to make another. Maybe you will too with my tutorial or the many others that you can find online.
