I love thrift stores, always have. When I was in college with a baby girl and working, I had very little money to spend but working in a law office had to look good. I discovered the thrift store and fell in love. Miami has whole districts of nothing but thrift stores and I would spend a whole day just getting lost in vintage clothing shops, checking out all types of antiques and vintage finds. I also dressed very well and only wore brand names, my faves were Ann Taylor, Banana Republic and Ralph Lauren. To this day, if I am not wearing something handmade, it is probably one of these designers.
we definitely need a leg tan
I love the eyelet detail of this dress, to me it feels like a sweet little girls summer dress
the dress was $5
the shoes were $4
Total cost was a little over $10 with tax for a sweet summer outfit. What was your latest thrift store find.
I have recently come to love thrifting as a great way to save money (and being kind to the environment). I have to say that I am hooked. I find nice stuff for a good price and I don't really worry about how it was made, etc. I'm glad to have found your blog too – I am a Floridian and a homeschooling, crafy, Catholic mama too! (At least crafty sometimes – when my two-year-old lets me). 🙂
oh lala…very chic! LOve the thrift store!
Unless I have to find something very specific and can't find it in a thrift store, I don't buy clothing anywhere else! My husband is a grad student, I'm pregnant with our first child, so needless to say we don't have a lot of money. But I still wear name brands and get complimented on my clothes all the time, because I am willing to go through all the racks to find the best! That is a great outfit – good find!
