Baby shower number two is behind us and in front of us lies only the next 5 weeks before our grandchild is born. Everything will again change for ever but isn’t that the way that life is. A new baby in our family, a first grandbaby, a first child for Alex and Lewis. Sweet.
Yesterday was a wonderful day at Alexandra’s in laws home. What a beautiful setting to have a party. Lots of food, friends and fun.
All that Alex gave to go with at first for a theme was that she wanted it to be mint colored. At first I thought, mint does not make a theme. Then I remembered my shower when I was pregnant with her and guess what? My color was mint also, could she possibly have known that? Full circle… full circle!
Chevron has been my favorite design lately so mint and white/grey chevron it is. Sweet and simple.
The shower games were guess the messy diaper (guess what chocolate bar is melted inside the diaper) and Hands Full (momma has to hang the laundry on the line while holding a baby in one arm and the basket in the other). Lots of fun and laughter was had by all.
So many presents where showered upon her, it makes my momma’s heart so very happy and also so very grateful to our friends and family. For today we rest, and tomorrow we jump back in with projects, lots of farm work and laundry.
