Stash Bash

I’ve never met a crafter without a stash of some kind. This year my goal is to use up all the craft supplies I have spent money on that are taking up mental and physical space in my life.  Join me here every Thursday for a Stash Bash.

Again this week, I am having some issues.  I am having problems uploading pics from my computer to blogger and had a doctors appointment this morning which took forever.  While I work on fixing my little problems here is this weeks Stash Bash.  Can’t wait to see what you all have come up with and I should be back very soon with a sweet crochet puff flower hair barrette pattern as soon my computer cooperates.

UPDATE: It is now dinner time and I am officially not going to be able to upload anything tonight.  I hope to have my drive working by tomorrow since that seems to be the problem.  Sorry everyone!!  But I love your projects so far!

So what did you get done this week, I can’t wait to see!   I love every one of your projects from last week, you all inspire me!   Thanks for stopping by this weeks Stash Bash. Below is the linky list for you to add your project.

Here’s what to do. There are no rules.
Just use what you have and try to not buy new supplies, unless you need it to complete a project that you are making from stuff you already have in your stash.
Take a picture of your project or progress and blog about it or post a picture to flickr.
Then come back here on Thursdays and post a link to your post.
Don’t forget to link back to the Stash Bash so others can find us and get encouraged too.
Fair enough?

P.S.  Its so nice to hear from other stash bashers so if you visit some of the links don’t forget to leave them a quick little comment.

Last scarf before spring

We are back to winter weather here since Saturday.  The past few days have gone down to 23 degrees.  For us Southerners…that is cold!  Plants freezing and farm animals keeping together in fresh straw to keep warm for probably the last time this year.  I am happy to have one last taste of spring, especially since we hardly had a winter here this year.  It also makes me feel better that I have not yet gotten anything planted.

To celebrate this cold snap I started one last scarf.  It is simple 2×2 ribbing and the yarn is a nice chunky blend of wool and bamboo from my stash.  I hope to finish it tomorrow and block it, hopefully this winter vacation will stick around long enough to get some use out of it this year.  This project was mindless which is exactly what I needed to get going again.  I did not get it posted in time for Nicole’s Keep Calm, Craft on but here is it.  Lots of great projects over there.

I feel like I have not been knitting forever so getting this project on needles was so nice.  This is also my first time in a month playing along with Ginny of Small Things...so busy around here getting ready for spring.

Tomorrow at my Stash Bash I will be sharing a very cute and easy little project…hope to see you back here and I can’t wait to see what all you ladies have been doing with your stash.  Won’t you join me?
