I spent about 5 hours yesterday finally working in my studio, unpacking and arranging. It’s so good to have my own space again. In our last house I had a wonderful studio (scroll down), have you been around here that long? or long enough at least to see my space when it became this? For the first few years, I had our loft all to myself, but older children needed their own space and adding a baby girl and then boy really called for me to give up my creative space in order for them to be more comfortable. I did it gladly really but it is nice to have my own studio again. I was going to paint the room but honestly, I got a wind beneath my sail and got to work putting everything where it goes and forgot… It works out as I like yellow and maybe someday when I have the time and inspiration, I can paint the room. I still have so many more boxes that need to be unpacked into this tiny little space of mine. It’s a good thing I only brought 25% of my fabric and yarn with me. It feels good and The Lord knows it would not have fit had I not given away most of it with the move. Why oh why did I even own that much? This time around I will try to keep my fiber and fabric purchases down in order to keep this space a bit more uncluttered but oh it’s so hard. You understand, yes?
With very break I got that a little one did not need me, oh what would I do without those big guys of mine who volunteered to commandeer this ship of ours so that momma could get some work done, I worked on Matthew’s pair of longies to go with his Pebble vest. I am liking it so far and like I said yesterday, this is an easy knit. Easy enough to invent on a long car trip with no computer to help. No kitchener stitching to do, just ribbing and garter and you are done. Would you like to test the pattern for me? It would be nice to share it.
I have already chosen another hank of Peacefleece to use to make another pair. Oh so fast!
Yarning along with sweet Ginny. Head on over and see what they are up to.
