This week:

: :   enjoyed many smoothies with homemade almond milk that don’t affect my ear (how we miss our raw milk)

: :   started a few new knitting projects and another boot cuff

: :   finding lots and lots of tiny baby bites in the apples in our baskets

: :   eating pizza for what seemed like almost every night this week and loving it.  Local applewood smoked bacon and arugula, Balsamic sauteed baby bella, kale with parm, and plain ole cheese

: :   had lots and lots of beans to fill tummies and keep us warm.  Soup, chili, on rice, it’s all good

: :  gave Chris a faux hawk just for fun

: :  had popcorn most every night… it’s our favorite.  Organic popcorn is the most inexpensive snack there is and popping it  in our homeraised pig lard raises it to another level of wonderfulness

: :  finally had our first real Saturday clean up with everyone pitching in

: :  savored every minute of nursing with this little baby of mine who is now oh so busy and hoped that the adoring look he gives his momma never goes away

How was your week?

I loved doing these and realized I haven’t done a These Days post since this one last summer.  I need to do this more often.  It is so much fun to look back.  I can’t believe how little Mateo was in the last post.

This week we are so very grateful:

: :  Home raised, home made raw butter

: :  Cows that think they are pets

: :  Sisters that give baby brothers faux hawks during bath time

: :  knitting with sleepy babies

: :  children who love learning so much that they go the extra mile to give me lots and lots of information on their zoo reports including puppet shows and slide show presentations

: :  wild baby bunnies rescued helped and relocated so they don’t eat our garden

: :  watching Christopher harvest his first potatoes and then finding him back at the potato patch every couple of hours digging for more

: :  homegrown food to feed and nurture our bodies
