Ninja Iphone Cozy and watch out for Shark Ipod Cozies

She has done it again.  Alexandra has come up with something which I find so simple and cute that I want to share it with you all here.  Of course, I am proud of her.  Who would not be?

Alexandra has been working on getting her Etsy store going and she even started a blog.  Her brand is chrisandyaya which is what her brother Chris named her when he was a baby and it stuck.  Around here she is Yaya. Visit her blog here, I think you will enjoy her ideas.

A few months ago she started this idea of Iphone and Itouch cozies with this really cute shark.

This time it is this super sneaky Ninja.  This little guy will make sure that nothing happens to your Ipod with super slick Ninja moves.

These cozies are super soft, knitted and very well made, even by my standards.  You can find her store here.

pinafores and bloomers

I have been so inspired by vintage photos of women and girls in pinafores lately.  This is reflected in the dresses I have been coming up with. As with most every piece of clothing I make, no pattern is used.  I make it up as I go along but if I like what I make then I do make a pattern so I can recreate it should I want to.

Three different dresses for three different girls made from three same fabrics to celebrate our countries birth.

Livie’s pinafore is lined and the white bllomers have a blue pleated ruffle at the bottom.  The waistband is a grosgrain ribbon symbolizing the stripes and the blue dotted symbolizes the stars.
Ronnie’s pinafore is criss crossed in the back, the skirt is lined and waist is made from grosgrain ribbon.
Erica got a skirt with cute over stitched pockets, drawstring waist and a super sweet eyelet lace slip underneath.

To complete the look I upgraded some store bought flip flops by taking off the tacky and adding some cute rick rack.  Is there anything that does not look cuter with rick rack?
