Pipe cleaner flower hairclip tutorial – Handmade Easter craft along – Day three

How are you doing so far?  Have you gotten to try any of the crafts yet?  Today’s craft is another cute and easy one.  After you make one, you can do them in your sleep. This craft has a lot of pictures.  I try not to put too many pics in one post but I think these are all needed.

You will need: Strong glue, 6 pipe cleaners, fabric covered button and hair clip
hold your pipe cleaners in one hand making sure they are all the same size, twist them together in the middle so that they do not come apart
bend one tip just a little bit under, now go around and do the rest of the tips
now you are going to roll them down from the tip to the center like a snail shell would be
this is what it will look like when you do all the stems
take the two center petals and cup them and point them towards each other
 like this
go around and arrange each petal until you are happy with its placement as a flower
glue your button to the center
glue your hair clip to the back
make sure to leave the clip open until the glue dries or you won’t be able to open it again
Put it in a lucky girls hair.  Cute and easy, I told ya!

Pom pom egg tutorial – Handmade Easter craft along – Day two

Welcome back to day 2 of our handmade Easter craft-along.  Today’s craft is super easy, cute and fluffy.  It is so easy that my 6 year old made one.
What child does not love a pom pom.  Even my boys were oohing and aahing today.  If you have yarn and a scissor, you already have everything you need to make this craft and its a great use for all those little yarn scraps.  You can buy a pom pom maker at the store but God already gave you one, so lets use it.
Take your yarn and start wrapping around two fingers (I didn’t measure but I probably wrapped it about 40 times.  The more yarn you wrap the fuller your egg will be.
Slide your ball of yarn carefully off your fingers keeping your fingers over the center.
With a short string of yarn, tie off the center as tight as you can tie it.
Take your scissor and cut in between the loops until all the loops are cut.
this is what you will have
cupping your little pom pom in your hand, start cutting and shaping your pom pom by cutting off yarn little by little in an egg shape leaving more in the middle and less on the top and bottom until it looks like an egg.
and there you have it.  My kids were drooling to get their hands on them.
I can’t wait to show you what we are making tomorrow…it involves pipe cleaners.  Remember to send me your pics when you are done.
